This woman had a lotus on her lower back, and a flower on the top shoulder. As she wanted to join the both flowers using plants pattern, the best way is to go free hand, in order to fit the back perfectly. First, Bikas draws the design.
The flowers are then joined, with new leaves, and flowers.
South East Asia is reputated for it's unique and traditional use of bamboo tattoo. Ink marks take the form of mantras and various gods of the buddhist panteon. Originally they were done by priest and monks. The tattoos are used for protection, or to show one's position in society.
During a trip to Thailand, Bikas learned the bamboo tattoo technique. Back in Kathmandu, he is one of the first nepalese to offer bamboo tattoo in a shop.
According to the yoga tradition, man has 7 wheels of chakra, situated along the spine. Each of those chakras vibrates at a diferent energy level. By working with those chakras, man can balance out his life, in order to live a happy and peacefull life.
